Lisa Randall. Dark Matter and the Dinosaurs: The Astounding Interconnectedness of the Universe. Ecco, 2015. 400 p. $17.

Author
A PhD in theoretical particle physics from Harvard, now a professor there.

Benefit
Another book on cosmology -- think Hawking but a bit easier to read.  I didn't suspect that the title would be a gimmick (theoretical physicists are not widely known for such things) -- the book doesn't really focus on the relationship between dark matter and dinosaurs.  The two are only related because they were once part of the same universe.  Great book, though.
